Rich, what were your highlights of 2016?
Obviously making my debut for the England Indoor Cricket team during the recent home World Cup in Birmingham. But also the fantastic achievements of the 1st and 2nd XI’s in their promotions and league title

Who do you think will be looking back on 2016 and say "that was a good year"?
I would say everyone associated with UCC, amazing times on and off the field for the whole year. A massive credit must go to all on the governing committee and also every single person who contributed their own personal time and efforts throughout the year.

Who are you expecting big things of in 2017?
It has to be our very own modern day Lord Alfred Tennyson, Dave Smith. We are all hoping for a number of Twitter sensations from the big fella this coming season!

What are your hopes for 2017 both on and off the field?
For the continued success of the 1s and 2s but also all for all of the other playing sides, there is some real quality with great strength in depth at the club, gonna be some seriously tough selection decisions to be made over this season but what a problem to have!

What's your top tip for 2017?
Always double bag…I appreciated it can get expensive at times (10p a go) but its better to be safe than sorry
