Old favourite returns home

Fresh on the back of announcing one ‘old boy’ returning to Old Greasby Road we are delighted to announce the return of another in the guise of Matt Ingram.

All-rounder Matt started out with us as a junior and has played 136 1st XI games scoring 2,275 runs and taking 164 wickets. More recently, he has been playing for both Rushwick CC (Worcestershire County League) and the West Midland Alliance police team for whom his last outing was at the County Ground, Leicestershire where he opened the batting (scoring 68) to help them to victory and crowned National Champions.

In between his commitments with Worcestershire Police, Matt will be available for selection and will add further strength to the senior squad as we look to push on across all four Saturday sides this season.

Commenting, 1st XI skipper Matt Owen was in exuberant mood when he said, “It is great to add another high quality name to the squad. Although Matt is only providing cover for us when his work pattern suits, it’s amazing to have him there for when we need him. It doesn’t come much better than being able to call on a former Cheshire player to fill in. Few things would give me more pleasure than to share the field with a true green and gold friend. Great to have you around again Ingram!

Welcome back Matt, it'll be great to have you involved again.
