1st XI skipper pounding the streets for VSF

On 16th October our 1st XI captain Tom Marsland will be swapping cricket whites for his running kit as he runs the Manchester Half Marathon. Having spent 22 weeks of the year doing nothing more than wandering from one end of the wicket to the other striking fear into opposition batsmen with his rapid glove work, it comes of something of a surprise that he is attempting to run the 13.1 mile distance, but we’ll still get behind him and support him all the way!

Tom’s not just running for ‘fun’, he’s doing it to raise funds and awareness for our charity partner, VITAL SIGNS FOUNDATION. So far this year through your help the club has raised a staggering £1,847 and we’d love to smash our target of £1,901. Not only will you be helping out this great charity, but you’ll also be giving Tom a lift, because let’s face it he’s going to need every ounce of encouragement to drag himself round the course!

Donating is simple and can be done via our JustGiving page.

Please help support both the charity and our illustrious skipper.

Thank you
