We are always trying to look at “inventive” ways to raise funds for the club to go towards both the day to day running costs but also help us drive the club forward with new initiatives.

With this in mind, outlined below are three ways that you can help with minimal outlay, and in the case of the last option, minimal cost to yourself.

EASYFUNDRAISING
Easyfundraising is a simple way of raising funds when purchasing products online. Instead of going directly to the retailer website, log into easyfundraising first and click on the retailer you want to shop with. You’ll then be taken to the retailer’s website where you shop as you would normally. But because you visited easyfundraising first, your cause gets a donation. It really is that simple.

The first time you go to the Easyfundraising website, follow the links to “join us” where you create an account and associate it to Upton Cricket Club. Any future visits when logged in will automatically register against the club and start earning money.
There are over 2,000 retailers registered so you should have plenty of choice!

VITALITY HEALTH & LIFE INSURANCE
Towards the back end of the 2016 season we partnered with insurance brokers; Higgsbosson who’s leading product is Vitality Health & Life Insurance. The way this works is really simple – for every policy taken out by club members and family, the club benefits financially.

You may already have health and/or life insurance policies, but for the sake of a brief phone call you could find yourself a better policy that not only delivers several benefits to yourself, but also helps the club out.

Touching on some of the benefits you could receive from changing policies, the basic principal of the Vitality product is centred around rewarding you for being active and we’ve seen those members who have sign up benefitting from things such as reduced price iWatch’s, free cinema tickets and free Starbucks coffee each week.

The benefits to the club are clearly measurable and to put this into perspective, from just a handful of club members who’ve signed up so far, we have received over £500.
