“To the members of the UCC, you have been so helpful at a time when I was uncertain about my future and most importantly, unsure about completing my degree. Past few months have been really stressful and it just goes to show nothing can be taken for granted when it comes to money. I have to register at the University by the 10th of September but before, I am registered I have to pay the £4000 registration fees because I am an International student. The loan companies I have spoken to would only give me the loan if I am a registered student!!! But with the help of all my Upton family and work friends along with my savings I have managed to raise £880.27 after deductions from the Just Giving Page and this will go towards paying the registration fee.
From the moment, I joined this club I have received warmth and love beyond expectations and made friends who I will be in touch with for the rest of my life. Being away from home at times is not easy specially during the British winter which starts in September for me (funnily enough) and goes on until early May but having friends like you makes it so much easier and worthwhile.
On a personal note, I pledge that when I am in a better position in future after my studies to help the club in any way possible!
