Two young UCC members in Cheshire squad

OK maybe that's a little bit of a porky. Let's say young at heart then. Ian Bruce & John Scragg in the squad.

Tomorrow Cheshire 70's play host to Warwickshire 70's in the National championships. Cheshire last years beaten finalists are hoping to go one better this year. Cheshire at just over the half way stage a currently standing 3rd in the table out of 18 with Wales and Suffolk just ahead of them. Cheshire have won 5 lost 1 tied 1 and have had 2 matches conceded to them. Cheshire would probably still been top if not for the two concessions. A strong Welsh team who are top with no concessions, and who's only defeat was against Cheshire, likewise Cheshire's only defeat was against Wales, will be hoping to maintain there winning run since there defeat by Cheshire.

Cheshire will be hoping to get back to winning ways after a disappointing performance against Wales. Cheshire meanwhile will be looking to regain the early season form that sore them defeat all opponents largely due to the stunning batting performances of the Cheshire openers Captain Nick Bell and his partner Steve Yates. Who between them have scored over three quarters of the runs this year.

Ian Bruce's performance with the bat in the Cheshire 60's last week sore him score a rapid 26 of 23 balls may well see him get the nod for another bat, but if not will certainly be in for his fielding.

If you can make it come along and join number one supporter Nigel Sharrock (And John Scragg when he's not playing) in cheering on the Cheshire Gents who really appreciate the support they have been getting. Match is 40 overs per side starting at 1pm
