Games Thursday & Friday plus a visit from the Mayor

We’ve a busy week ahead this week, especially towards the latter end of the week as we host two T20 matches – on Thursday and Friday…

THURSDAY 25TH JULY
On Thursday we welcome Chester Boughton Hall for the 3rd Round of the Echo Knockout where the winner will face Old Xaverians away in the Quarter Finals. The game starts at 6.15pm, the bar will be open all evening and there’ll be all the usual T20 razzmatazz!

FRIDAY 26TH JULY
On Friday, as well as the usual junior training we are hosting a match being organised by Our Lady of Pity school between the parents of their two schools. The match starts at 6.30pm and is in aid of raising funds for one of their pupils who needs to raise £45,000 for her to have critical surgery in America. The full link to the fundraising page which has all the details can be found HERE and they’ve already raised nearly £10,000 and it’s hoped this event will add to that total. On the night we’ll have the usual BBQ being run by our fantastic BBQ maestro’s, plus we are delighted to welcome our “Performance of the Week” sponsors The Yog Bar down who will be serving up their fantastic frozen yoghurts.

As if it’s not going to be busy enough we also have the Mayor Of Wirral; Councillor Tony Smith coming along. With the Mayor’s support we have been very kindly awarded funding for additional seating around the grounds, some of which you will have noticed on the decking area. Not only will the Mayor be officially ‘presenting’ the benches to us but he will be looking on with encouragement and maybe even turning his arm over with the children as they enjoy their training.

As you can see, it’s all set to be VERY VERY busy so can we kindly ask that if you can walk to the club please do so as parking will be a challenge. If you need to drive, please park considerately (right up against the barriers on the car park perimeter) and use the overflow car park (the area between the two grounds).
