Things are shaping up nicely for the President’s Day on Sunday August 7th with Pete Clark assembling two squads of some greats from the past (plus a few of the current crop).

The match will feature the Men of Merseyside taking on the Men of Cheshire with both teams made up of players who played 1st XI cricket under Pete in the Merseyside Competition and Cheshire County League (plus a couple of ‘guests’)

It’ll be very much a ‘squad’ game with all players featuring throughout the afternoon. Don’t worry if you don’t see your name on the team sheets as there’s still chance to be involved. If you played 1st XI cricket under Pete and want to be involved, please let him know (07927 304041). If you’re not up to playing, just come along anyway and share some great memories of years gone by

The game will start at 1pm and there’ll be an extended tea interval which will also feature the 1901 Club lunch
