Preview: In a repeat of the 2021 Cheshire Shield final, Matt Owen’s 1st XI welcome Hale Barns to Old Greasby Road. The 1’s will be looking to build on last weeks victory away at Davenham as they welcome back Matt Smith & Dave Williams to the team. Hale Barns come into the game on the back of a four-wicket victory over Warrington where Jack Wylie picked up 5 wickets and Josh Agar scored 63*
League Position: Hale Barns 6th (56pts) | Upton 10th (38pts)
Previous Meeting: 22 August 2021 – Cheshire Shield Final: Upton won by 4 wickets finishing on 184-6 (Darren Warburton 35) having bowled Hale Barns out for 183 (Tom Maguire 5-52)

2nd XI v Marple (a)
Date/Time: Sat 21 May |12pm
Preview: Graeme Keenan takes the 2nd XI who welcome back Kieran Wilkes, Mike McGreay and Callum McCormick on the long trip to Marple looking to leapfrog their hosts by securing victory. Last week saw a resolute Upton lower order dig deep to hold on for a draw against Grappenhall, whilst Marple had a convincing 9 wicket victory over Macclesfield.
League Position: Marple 6th (66pts) | Upton 7th (57pts)
Previous Meeting: 6 July 2019 – Match drawn with Marple posting 204-5 (James Woods 3-69) and Upton closing on 163-7 (Sam Talbot 45)

3rd XI v MOBBERLEY (H)
Date/Time: Sat 21 May |12pm
Preview: Both teams go in the hunt of their first victories of the season in this clash with Upton having been beaten by four wickets last week at Lymm Oughtrington Park. Mobberley likewise suffered at the hands of Stockport in a high scoring game where Stockport reached the target of 225 in 32 overs.
League Position: Upton 10th (24pts) | Mobberley 11th (21pts)
Previous Meeting: 7 September 2019 – Upton won by 2 wickets having restricted Mobberley to 123-8 (James Woods 4-47) and then reaching the total in the 42nd over (Ian Sharrock 43*)

4th XI v Wirral (a)
Date/Time: Sat 21 May |1pm
Preview: With the frustrations for not having played for two weeks due to matches being called off, Kevin Jackson takes a youthful looking 4th XI down the M53 to face a Wirral side who haven’t played since the opening day of the season. In that fixture Chester County Officers won by 8 wickets, reaching the target in the 33rd over.
League Position: Upton 4th (40pts) | Wirral 10th (16pts)
Previous Meeting: 7 September 2019 – Wirral won by 19 runs having posted 140-9 (Kevin Jackson & Dec Delaney both 3-31) with Upton reaching 126-7 (Dave Charles 51)

Ladies XI v Hawarden Park (a)
Date/Time: Sun 22 May | 1.30pm
Preview: With a quick turnaround of fixtures, the Ladies head across the border to face Hawarden Park having played them just two weeks ago.
League Position: Upton 2nd (50pts) | Hawarden Park 3rd (32pts)
Previous Meeting: 8 May 2022 – Upton won having posted 149-7 (Charlie Scudder 47) and restricting Hawarden Park to 102-5 (Hannah McGowan 2-14)

Sunday 1st XI v TATTENHALL (H)
Date/Time: Sun 22 May |1.30pm
Preview: With an even quicker turnaround in fixtures, Phil Woods Sunday 1st XI head to Tattenhall whom they beat last week where they won by 30 runs courtesy of 53* from Joe Green and 4 wickets by the skipper.
