Preview: Matt Owen’s 1st XC make the short trip down the Wirral to face newly promoted Port Sunlight in a side which see’s three changes with Luca DiStefano, Matt Smith and Dave Williams returning. Despite sitting in the relegation zone, the hosts are in a rich vein of form having won their last four games (2 league games, 2 cup games). Having emphatically beaten Haslington last week with a devastating spell of bowling which saw 8 wickets fall for just 16 runs, the 1’s will be look to register back to back victories for the second time this season.

Club stalwart Darren Warburton makes a welcome return to Upton colours after a period out with injury and will no doubt add to experience to the batting line up.

In contrast, the 3’s come into the game with two wins on the bounce and will be full of confidence as they look to leapfrog their hosts.

Preview: After suffering their first defeat of the season at the hands of some destructive batting from Lindow’s overseas player, Lily Scudders Ladies XI will be looking to get back to winning ways when they make the long trip to Leyland. The side is strengthened by the returning Rachael Harrison and Cath Williams. In their last outing, Leyland posted a very healthy 163-5 in their game at Woodley, then bowled their hosts out for just 59.
