Preview: Saturday will see the start of a key period for the first XI as they face title toppers Alvanley. This will be the 3rd meeting between the two sides this year, Alvanley winning the reverse fixture and Upton winning a more recent t20 game. With bragging rights on the line Matt Owen makes 3 changes to last weeks record setting team with Luke Camden, Umer Zeb and a first game of the season for Chris Stowell Smith. Our Opponents have had a very impressive season so far, losing just 2 games in the league, including a current five match unbeaten run.

Preview: In what was a strange twist of fate when the fixtures where released, our second XI will travel to Alvanley to take on their mid table 2nd XI. Batts’ side will look to put a run of wins together after a slip in form. To do so, he makes 2 changes, with Andy Beacher and Sophie Morris coming in.

3rd XI vs Romiley 2nd XI (H)

Preview: Luke Williams leads his 3rd XI in back-to-back home games as they take on 2nd place Romiley. As one of the strong 2nd XI in the league Romiley will be looking to finish the season in the promotion spots, however it is a testament to our 3rd XI that the two sides’ records this season are not too dissimilar (Romiley losing 1 more game than Upton). Lukes side to take on this challenge see’s Charlie Ward and George Williams come in.

Previous Meeting: 3rd May 2025, Romiley won by 2 wickets. Upton were stuck into bat, reaching 218/8 (Andy Beacher 65). Upton stayed in the game until late, taking regular wickets but ended up losing with just under 10 overs left (Ian Sharrock 3/45).

Preview: As Upton’s form gets better, Oxton’s gets worse and sets up a must win relegation 6 pointer this weekend. Climbing off the foot of the table last week, Phil Wood will be hoping his side can carry on the great escape in this Wirral Derby and brings in Alex Waring.
