Calling for Club Champions

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Cheshire Cricket Trust, the Cheshire Cricket Board (CCB) is offering free First Aid for Mental Health Awareness training to clubs across the county.

Each club is invited to nominate up to two individuals to become Club Champions and attend one of the upcoming training sessions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable skills at no cost, and places are limited – so don’t miss out!

Why This Training Matters
Delivered in a familiar cricketing context, the course will help Club Champions:
• Recognise the early signs of mental health challenges in players, volunteers, and supporters
• Feel confident starting supportive conversations about mental health
• Help promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture
• Reduce stigma around mental health issues
• Know how and when to signpost people to appropriate professional support

These skills will make a real difference in creating safer, more welcoming environments at our club.

Monday 20 April at Oxton CC 18:30-21:00hrs
