Training starts on 16th April, register online now...

We are delighted to announce that Junior Training is back and will commence on Friday 16th April starting at 6.15pm.

Whilst things have changed in the world since we last had a full season, our aim is to get things as close to ‘normal’ as possible. That being said, there will be a few things different, starting with registration…

We won’t be holding a registration evening as in previous years as this is both an occasion where we will see large numbers gathering but also not the most efficient way of doing things. We will instead be taking registrations & payments online which can be accessed HERE.

Please note that this is a two-step approach:

  1. Firstly, you will need to create an account on the club’s website (the one you are reading this article on - click the JOIN button in the top right hand corner). This account should contain the details of both you and your children. One of the items you will be prompted to complete is which ‘team’ your child is in. For simplicity, please select ‘Junior Member’ from the drop-down list. Once created, one of our website administrators will aim to approve that within 24 hours. You’ll be notified once approved via email, but please check your ‘junk’ folder as it may slip in there.
  2. Once your account is approved you will be able to register & pay for Junior Membership as a ‘product’.

We’re really sorry if this is a little bit ‘clunky’ but unfortunately that’s just the way the system works!

With the options available, we’ve tried to cover every family group size scenario but if your scenario isn’t listed, please contact us via email HERE.

As a reminder, the fee you pay covers the whole family to join as members PLUS all training fees for Friday evening sessions. After not taking any membership fees in 2020, we have frozen the fees at the 2019 rate and assume we will get a reasonably full season in. Should circumstances outside of our control change, we will review this.

Now on to our Friday night training sessions...

As we’ve said, we’ll try to run these as close to normal as possible but obviously whilst guidelines around what we can and can’t do in relation to Covid-19 are in place we will ensure we follow those to the letter. In terms of numbers in each group, we are governed by what the ECB have published which is as follows:

  • Under 9’s is a ratio of 1 coach to 8 children
  • Under 11’s upwards is a ratio of 1 coach to 10 children

Whilst we will endeavour to have enough coaches to accommodate all those in attendance, there may be times where we must limit numbers. With this in mind, we can only allow juniors to train who have completed the online registration process.

One final note, but a vitally important one – we are a member’s club which is licensed to serve alcohol to its members. As such, therefore it is imperative that we only serve alcohol (in line with Government guidance as to how we can operate) to paid up members of the Club.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and we look forward to welcoming you back on the 16th April.
