We're s delighted to announce the launch of its Junior Training Programme for the 2026 season, welcoming young cricketers of all abilities to get involved, learn new skills and enjoy the game in a fun and supportive environment.

The club continues to build on its strong junior section and is excited to offer structured coaching sessions across several age groups throughout the summer months. For the first time, the club will also be running the All Stars Cricket programme, creating an exciting new opportunity for younger children to experience the game.

All Stars Cricket – Starting Monday 11th May
This year will mark the first time Upton Cricket Club has hosted the All Stars Cricket programme, beginning on Monday 11th May and running for 8 weeks.

All Stars is a nationwide initiative created by the England and Wales Cricket Board designed specifically for children aged 5–8 who are new to cricket. The programme focuses on fun, activity and developing fundamental cricket skills through games and engaging sessions led by trained coaches, helping children build confidence while learning the basics of the sport.

All Stars is a short introductory programme, giving young players a fun first taste of cricket and an opportunity to get involved at the club.

Junior Training Sessions – Starting Friday 17th April
Alongside All Stars, Upton Cricket Club’s junior teams will begin their regular weekly training programme, which runs throughout the summer and forms the foundation of the club’s junior section.

Under 9, Under 11 & Under 13
• Start Date: Friday 17th April
• When: Every Friday evening
• Time: 6.15pm – 7.30pm
Under 15
• Start Date: Monday 20th April
• When: Every Monday evening
• Time: 6.15pm – 7.30pm

These sessions run through to September and provide young players with the opportunity to develop their cricket skills, build confidence, make new friends and represent Upton Cricket Club in a welcoming and community-focused environment.

Families who register for the club’s junior programme will also receive discounted drinks at the club bar throughout the season, making it a great opportunity for parents and supporters to relax and enjoy the club atmosphere across match days and training evenings.
