We are delighted to announce that Chris McArthur will be available for selection for the 2020 season. Chris has made the decision to visit the UK and will be a welcome addition to the senior squad.

Commenting, 1st XI skipper Tom Marsland was naturally delighted and said, “Having Chris available for selection in 2020 is a massive boost for the squad. He's proved his quality time and time again and has valuable experience playing in England, his passion and desire to win drags others along with him and we're all really looking forward to welcoming him back to Upton”.

We caught up with Chris who told us, “I’m very much looking forward to coming back and seeing everybody again as I’ve missed everybody enormously and am also excited to get back into UCC life once again, it’s almost been a 2 year wait between knocks and I cannot wait, April cannot come soon enough. I’m unbelievably excited to be back at The UCG to get into training and giving everything I’ve got on and off the field to ensure Promotion back to Division 1.”

Having set some pretty high standards in his time with us previously, when asked what his targets were for the 2020 season Chris commented, “To be honest with you I haven’t set any targets stats wise, I’ve never really been big on stats personally but obviously I would like to continue where I left off and be even better this season than previous, as I’m sure I’m no different to anyone who, if all 11 of us improve on our previous season then I have no doubt we will go up as that’s the only stat that matters to me.”
