As our preparations for the 2026 season continue to gather pace, we’re pleased to confirm another addition to the squad with the arrival of Stephen Redfern, who joins from Caldy.

Stephen has played his cricket at Caldy since 2017 and now makes the move to Upton as part of the club’s ongoing work to build depth and competition across the senior sides. A very handy off spinner, Stephen brings with him valuable experience, having taken over 200 senior wickets during his time at Caldy

He was also a regular wicket-taker for Caldy’s 2nd XI in the Liverpool Competition last season, underlining the impact he can make with the ball and the consistency he brings week in, week out.

His arrival adds another reliable bowling option into the squad and strengthens the group as a whole as we look ahead to the new season.
