Preview: Matt Owen returns to lead the 1st XI as they face a Christleton side looking to keep the pressure on the top two in the table. With just three points between the two sides, the winner of this will give themselves a real advantage for the closing stages of the season. Returning to the side is Luke Camden. Christleton come into the game on the back of a high scoring game against Stockport where they posted 326/4 with Stockport being bowled out for 274.

Preview: Graeme Keenan leads the 2nd XI buoyed by last week’s hard-fought win over Grappenhall as they head to face Didsbury. The skipper makes four changes with Ian Potter, Sam Talbot, Dave Stewart and the evergreen Ian Sharrock coming in. The hosts got back to winning ways last week following successive defeats as they defeated table toppers Lindow in a game which went to the last over.

Preview: Luke Williams’ all conquering 3rd XI welcome Cheadle Hulme to Old Greasby Road as they look to keep the pressure on the top half of the table. The skipper makes three changes with George Williams, Dylan Sandison and Lewis Doyle coming in. The visitors cruised to victory last week chasing down Oakmere’ s lowly total of 91 inside 12 overs.

The skipper makes four changes with Ethan Evans, Sean Cooper, Charlie Vernon all coming in alongside Sam Cliff making his senior debut. The hosts lost all five games they played in July, most recently against Maritime so will be looking to kickstart August with a win

The side sees several changes from the team who lost at Northop Hall last week. The hosts find themselves rooted to the foot of the table having not won a game all season.

President’s XI Match (a)

Preview: Club President Pete Clark has assembled two teams made up of some Upton greats from yesteryear, plus a few others closing to the current playing ranks for the annual Presidents Day match. The day is set to be another great occasion, with not only the match but there’s the 1901 Club lunch plus friends and family will gather to remember Tony Perrin who passed away recently.
