Preview: Upton 1st XI are hoping it’s third time lucky this week after the last 2 weeks of abandoned games due to the weather. This weekend we have a home clash with Tattenhall. After an indifferent start to the season it’s time for us to get back to winning ways. This week we welcome Luca di Sefano and Sol Turner into the team and a return to our bowling of Joe Williams. Our opponents Tattenhall have also made an indifferent start and sit 13 point ahead of us on 54 points so its looks to be a challenging game ahead for both teams . A win this weekend will get Upton back to winning ways and set us up for the weeks ahead .

Preview: Upton 2nd XI will be looking to get back to winning ways after last weeks abandoned game due to the weather. This week we have a tough looking fixture at Didsbury who have won 3 games and lost 1 so far and sit 5th on 72 points, 17 points behind the early leaders Lindow. We welcome Tom Woods , Sam Talbot, Nikhil Nataraj and Ian Sharrock into the team this week. A big congratulations to Ian Sharrock who is making his 700th league appearance for the club. Upton will be desperate to put on a good performance and get back to winning ways

Preview: Upton 3rd XI will be looking to get back to wining ways again following on from last weeks defeat at Haslington. This week they welcome Ethen Evans into the team as the only change from last weeks team. Ashley 2nd XI are looking for there first win of the season as they have lost 4 games , last weeks game was abandoned so they currently sit in 12th place on 20 points . A win this week would be good for us as we sit in 5th place 14 points behind the early leaders Ashton on Mersey .

Preview: Upton 4th XI will be looking to get back to winning ways after last weeks abandoned game . This week we are at home to Barrow 3rd XI who also had last weeks game abandoned as well. This week we welcome back our captain Phil Wood along with Rob Chapman, Eden Raja, Lee Gosney and good luck to Louis Turner who will be making his debut for the club after joining us from Birkenhead Park . With last weeks game being abandoned for Barrow they currently sit in 14th place with 4 defeats and no wins, on the other hand we sit in 2nd place on 70 points 8 points behind the current leaders Chester county offices so a good performance and a win by Upton will help is push for top spot this week.

Ladies XI vs Hayfield XI (H)

Preview: Upton Ladies XI entertain high flying Hayfield this weekend. Upton last weekend got there first win of the season beating Didsbury Ladies by 6 Wkts with E.McGowan scoring 33 no and L.Scudder taking 3/10. Hayfield had no game but they last played on May 10th beating Greenfield by 106 runs, Alice Dyson scoring 88 and also taking 4/2 . Hayfield currently sit joint top with Nantwich on 50 points having won there 2 games so far. Upton have won 1 amd lost 1 and sit 5th in the league, so it looks like a tough but good game ahead.
