1st XI vs Christleton (H)

Preview: As we enter the last day of the season the first team are in an exciting place, the simple equation is as follows, we require 2 pts for promotion or a win to be the League 2 winners. Christleton on the other hand require 7pts or a win to make sure they avoid any chance of relegation to Division 3. So an exciting end to the season is in place and everything is in our hands which is the ideal scenario to be in. This team is unchanged from last weeks extremely close 2 wkt defeat at Haslington. Let’s hope we celebrating a successful outcome after the game late into Saturday night.

2nd XI vs Toft (A)

Preview: Upton 2nd XI take on Toft away in there last game of the season. After last weeks thrilling 18 run victory over Chester BH they go into the game knowing there are safe from any relegation threat and can look forward to next season. As both teams have nothing to play for now they can both relax and enjoy this final fixture of the 2026 season. There are a couple of changes to the team after last week, Julian James and Charlie Ward jnr come into the team in place of Tom Woods and Ian Potter. Let’s hope the 2nd team win and make it a winning end to there 2026 season in the 2nd XI Premier Division.

3rd XI vs Port Sunlight 2nd XI (H)

Preview: Upton 3rd XI play Port Sunlight at home bringing there 2026 season to a close. They sit currently in 3rd place 16pts behind 2nd placed Warrington who are playing already relegated Ashley. Upton have a very small outside chance of sneaking into 2nd place with a win and a unlikely big defeat for Warrington. Whatever happens Upton 3rd XI can be very proud of constantly punching above there weight in a league of 2ndXI teams. There are 3 changes to last weeks team that had a good result winning at Warrington. Georrge Williams, Sam Cliff and Matt Morris replace Charlie Ward, Gavin Byrom and Sam Williams. Let’s hope they can round off the 2026 season with another win.

4th XI vs Tranmere Vics (A)

Preview: Upton 4th XI make the short trip to Tranmere Vics for there last game of the 2026 season in Division C West. Tranmere Vics haven’t played a league game since 22nd August were they lost to Burton , and last week Upton were on the end of a 133 run defeat to Wirral, so neither team appears to be in any kind of form at the end of the season. This week there’s one change to last weeks team , Sam Neal is replaced by Patrick Waring. Let’s hope that Upton can return to winning ways and finish off the season in a positive way and look forward to next season.

Upton Ladies XI v Lindow (H)

Preview: Upton Ladies XI will be finishing off there 2026 season with a home game against Lindow. Unfortunately they haven’t played a league game since 26th July when they lost at Didsbury, since then they have fallen foul to the weather and had an abandoned game at lindow on the 30th August and a cancelled game at Greenfield on the 6th September. Lindow won at Alvanley last week by 41 runs so all being well Upton will be looking to round off the 2026 season in style with a win.
