The Ladies softball team played against Birkenhead Park on Monday 5th May. Upton fielded first with a strong performance all round from everyone. Managing to get 6 wickets and restricting BP to a small total of 64 runs.

The sun continued to shine and be an advantage but also a disadvantage for both teams.

Upton's turn with the bat started very strong indeed with the first pair scoring 35 runs. Upton were more than half way chasing BP's total. Upton needed to keep their cool and not lose any wickets which means -5 runs. The 2nd pair scored 36 runs so the 3rd and 4th pairs just needed to defend and not lose any wickets. The last pairs batted really well and only lost -10 runs from the total, which was not that significant to the score already reached.

Victory win of 3 points for Ladies this evening. A great evening of Ladies softball cricket.
