1921
Season 1921 saw a dramatic transformation in the Club's playing fortunes, out of 24 matches, 15 were won. There were a few changes in the structure of the side, and most notable addition was that of L Phillips, a good all round cricketer who was to serve the club for many years.

The batting was dominated by A Wildgoose with 693 runs, including two centuries. L Phillips' season total of 390 runs, including two centuries also, and 'Buddy' scored 347 runs. On the bowling scene, A Wildgoose more than led the way with 112 wickets, including three eight wicket hauls, and four seven wicket hauls. Adding to this his feats with both bat and ball, A Wildgoose also took 12 catches.

1922
The Club's very successful run continued with 12 out of 20 matches being won. A Wildgoose again had a fine season with 535 runs and 100 wickets, further fine all round performances included E Davies scoring 393 runs and 24 wickets. Outstanding performances were made by H Schofield with 11 catches, whilst WN Derryman made 17 stumpings.

1923
Up to this point, no records exist as to the leasehold of the Club grounds, but in 1923 a lease was obtained in the names of WSS Hannay and Lord Leverhulme. The lease covered 5,331 acres at a total cost of £29 per annum, but gave the landlord wide powers, including retention of fishing, hunting and shooting rights, being able to reclaim part of the land for building or other such purposes at two months notice, and being able to reclaim all the land in the February of any year by giving a month's notice.

On the playing scene, the Club again enjoyed a successful season. Highlights of the batting were by L Phillips who was beginning to emerge as a very good batsmen scoring 546 runs. 'Buddy' scored 478 runs and A Wildgoose scored 344 runs. Once again, A Wildgoose completely dominated the bowling with 94 wickets, including three nine-wicket hauls. In the field, A Wildgoose took 13 catches, whilst WN Derryman and L Phillips made 17 and 5 stumpings respectively.

The batting was dominated by l phillips with 849 runs, including three centuries. Other notable run scorers were TSA Davies (470 runs) and A Wildgoose (402 runs). Further contributions were made with the ball by WE Griffiths (38 wickets) and L Phillips (34 wickets). WN Derryman continued his fine form behind the stumps taking 10 catches and 15 stumpings.

1926
The 1st XI were to have a mediocre season in 1926, winning 11 out of 25 matches, and can be noted for the emergence of EA Jenkins who was to serve the Club well for many years, scoring 3,827 runs in the process which was to include six centuries.

L Phillips dominated the batting with 479 runs, closely followed by 'Buddy' with 453 runs and A Wildgoose with 441 runs.

Having established an individual Club record of wickets taken during a season only the previous year, A Wildgoose achieved every bowlers ambition of taking all ten wickets in an innings. In his season's haul of 109 wickets, he achieved the feat on 29th/30th june at home to Liscard St.Mary's with his figures being; 12.3 overs, 3 maidens, 43 runs, 10 wickets at an average of 4.30, this also included a hat-trick.

A Wildgoose was ably supported by L Davies with 53 wickets, which included five wickets on four occasions. In the field, wicket keeping duties were shared by WN Derryman with 11 catches and 6 stumpings and JJ Jones with 10 catches and 9 stumpings.

1927
The 1927 season was more successful than the previous year with 16 out of 25 games won, and also marked the first appearance of great Club servant FJ Callaghan who would later go on to captain the 1st XI.

The batting was dominated by L Phillips with 571 runs, 'Buddy' scored 368 runs and EA Jenkins 355 runs. Bowling performances again dominated the scene with A Wildgoose leading the way with 103 wickets. On 13th August, this medium/fast right arm bowler took a hat-trick against Prescot, and in the same over created a Club record by taking 5 wickets in a maiden over.

WL Reade added his support with 45 wickets, and EA Jenkins took a further 27 wickets. In the field, JJ Jones took 10 catches, whilst WN Derryman took 18 catches and made 14 stumpings.

1928
The year was marked by the Club undertaking its first ever tour, travelling down South in June and taking in matches against Slough, Beaconsfield, Wargrave-on-Thames, Burnham and Hurst. The tour party was to include one guest player; CA Kinnear of Liverpool CC. In the match against Wargrave-on-Thames, the opposition were dismissed for only 41 runs, with L Phillip[s taking 8 wickets for 13 runs. However, Upton were dismissed for only 22 runs in the match against Burnham.

The season was a mediocre one, playing 29 matches and winning 11. Once again L Phillips dominated the batting with 570 runs, EA Jenkins scored 417 runs and A Wildgoose scored 318 runs.

On the bowling scene, A Wildgoose again dominated but by his own high standards over recent years he was below par, taking only 70 wickets. In support, L Phillips took 46 wickets and WL Reade took 43 wickets. WN Derryman had another fine season, taking 15 catches and making 9 stumpings.

1929
As the decade drew to a close, the year was marked by a couple of milestones in the Clubs history. In October, a new lease, this time catering for 8.322 acres (later reduced to 7.841 acres) was signed in the name of ‘Buddy’, WE Greatrex and A Wildgoose at a rental of £31-10-0 (£31.50) per annum. The lease permitted the use of the ground for cricket, hockey and tennis but still retained the same conditions on termination. However, the additional land permitted the provision of a second pitch, although to date it is still not known the exact date when a 3rd XI formed as the earliest records available only date from 1933 in respect of a 3rd XI.

A tour party was again organised, taking in matches against Beaconsfield, Wargrave-on-Thames, Bray and Hurst and again included a guest player, this time KE Wess of New Brighton CC.

The season also saw the first appearance of WL Ashworth, who was to serve the club for a great number of years.

Out of the 28 matches played, 14 were won, with a couple of notable performances. On 18th May in the match against Waterloo Park, L Phillips and A Wildgoose set a record 3rd wicket partnership of 222, in which L Phillips also created a new Club record individual score of 143 not out. In the tour match at Wargrave-on-Thames, L Phillips and KE Wess set a record 5th wicket partnership of 148.

The batting was yet again dominated by L Phillips with 731 runs, A Wildgoose added a further 539 runs and EA Jenkins scored 466 runs.

A Wildgoose dominated the bowling, who not only took 106 wickets, bowling a record number of 425.2 overs during the season, but on 11th May, in the match against Liverpool he took the 1,000th wicket of his 1st XI career. This remarkable feat was marked at the end of the season by the presentation of the mounted match ball which is currently located in the Clubs trophy cabinet. In support, WL Reade took 43 wickets and L Phillips took 29 wickets.

1930
The first season of the new decade was a very wet one and a number of matches were affected, but out of a total of 27 matches, 10 were won, 6 lost and 11 drawn.

As in the past two years, a tour party was organised taking in matches at Letcombe Regis, Wargrave-on-Thames, Henley, Hurst and Wokingham. In the match at Hurst, A Schofield and A Wildgoose established a record 10th wicket partnership of 83.

In a season marked by A Wildgoose and L Phillips reaching their 6,000th and 5,000th runs of their respective careers, batting was dominated by EA Jenkins with 532 run, with A Wildgoose scoring 467 runs and L Phillips scoring 306.

A Wildgoose once again spearheaded the bowling with 88 wickets, supported by L Phillips with 34 wickets. To cap a fine season, A Wildgoose took 10 catches, whilst WN Derryman finished off with 14 stumpings.
