Preview: Matt Owen’s 1st XI make the trip down the M53 to face Christleton knowing that if they secure 5 points, they will be crowned CCCL Division 3 champions. Not settling for just the 5 points, the skipper names a strong XI with the intent of winning the game with Umer Zeb & Joe Williams both returning. Christleton come into the game on the back of an agonising defeat last week at Heaton Mersey who, together with Oakmere have the opportunity to grab the last promotion spot. Prior to that, they were on a good run having won 8 of their previous 9 games and in Max Dunbavand and Ndiphiwe Mentoor they have two batters in feature in the divisions ‘Top 10’.

Preview: Darren Warburton leads the 2nd XI as they go into the penultimate game of the season sat just six points clear of Maritime and will be looking to maintain that top spot when Warrington travel to Old Greasby Road. The skipper makes four changes to the side that comfortably defeated Haslington last week with Sophie Morris, Liam Sundve, Will Clayton & Will Colwell all coming in. Warrington come into the game buoyed by victory last week over Oulton Park whom they bowled out for just 54 and will be looking to help their relegation fight.

Preview: Ian Sharrock’s newly crowned 2nd XI Division 3 champions head down the M53 to face Chester Boughton Hall and renew some friendships in what is set to be a great afternoon. The skipper makes three changes to the side who clinched the title last week with Julian James, Gary Docherty & Karan Patel coming in. The hosts who were for a long-time promotion contenders have slipped away in recent weeks and have only won two of their last five games. They do however have the divisions leading run scorer in Marius Mostert in their ranks and a competitive afternoon is undoubtedly in store for the Upton team.

Preview: It’s still all to play for in the 4th XI as they continue to breath down the neck of Westminster Park who sit just one point ahead. The skipper makes five changes to the side with Callum McCormick, Faiz Ahmed, Luke Williams & Andy Beacher coming in to face bottom of the table Tranmere Vics. The visitors have had a tough season, winning only one game but it’s always a good battle when the two sides come head-to-head so expect nothing less on the back pitch.
